2 and 3 stars they've identified as having the talent to grow into star athletes. And every couple of weeks you see an article of a kid who didn't pan out. So yes, it's important to get those tier athletes but it is also important to continue to develop them (I'd kind of like to hear Drink's ideas on that). Pinkel improved his recruiting YOY for the most part. Odom, just wasn't up to the task. Not all HCs are but if they assemble a good recruiting team under them they can succeed. Ron Zook could recruit almost anyone. He just couldn't coach them.
