City/County merger is inevitable & is already underway. Many City/County operations have been consolidated.
The fact you are so f’n stupid that you are completely unaware that area companies have voiced concern about crime stats & not enough law & order in areas downtown proves what a true imbecile you are.
The synergies & cost efficiencies that would be achieved by elimination redundancies alone would be beneficial. That rudimentary point is even beyond you ability to comprehend, sh*t for brains dupe boy.
It obvious to anyone with half a brain that perception & reputation directly impact economic factors for an area.
The benefits far outweigh the knuckle dragging thoughts of dumfugs like you, who think there is some magic border between the City & County & that they don’t already operate as one in terms of day to day life.
Also, the County can’t exist without a viable City & vice versa, pseudo intellectual meathead!
You add the City of St. Louis as another municipality in the County; merge the City police dept into the County polices dept; have the City assume it’s debt, which it will be able to address much more effectively with savings & boosts to it’s financials from the merger; allow every municipality that wants to have their own police department & schools district do so (the County police felt would have full jurisdiction in the City as the primary police force & operate in full in parts of the county where there is not a municipal police dept & supplement otherwise just like they do now).
Viola, the County making the vast portion of the STL Metro suddenly has a whole lot more control of the City & many City fiefdoms are eliminated & alderman disengaged.
You might want to look who Michael Nierdorff is & listen to what he has to say.
Can’t stand you shallow thinking, backwards ass dolts. You are the problem.
