expressed openness to the flat earth concept based on some things they had viewed on the internets. I simply asked how they would account for pilots leaving from the east coast of the US and eventually landing on our west coast. Same with ships that move across waterways. The look on their face was rather interesting.

I am a big fan of healthy skepticism. But, skepticism absent some foundational knowledge and curiosity can be a dangerous thing.
