How long does the vaccine work?

Patient got vaccinated this year and the kidney is available 12 months after the vaccine was taken. Is the vaccine still protecting? likely not. Does she still get the kidney? Will she have to get her booster shot after receiving the kidney or they will repossess it?

What if the patient has had COVID and has natural immunity? Will she be refused the kidney?

What about the flu shot? Will the patient be required to get that vaccine every year also? The chance of death from the flu is very high in transplant recpients.
