any vaccine, let alone covid vaccines. I have no idea where you came up with the idea that there is tachyphylaxis to vaccines.
As with most vaccines, antibody levels and memory cells decrease in a linear fashion. tetanus/diphtheria boosters are required every 5-10 years - do you lack faith in them b/c boosters are required?
In the case of viral mutations, yes, you need to reformulate the components of the vaccine to match the mutation. Thankfully, with the mRNA platform, it can be done much more rapidly and be a better response to what is happening in the real world - something that has hampered developing the yearly flu vaccines and is the reason why their efficacy is hit or miss. Look to mRNA flu vaccines to start coming out in the next 5 years.
