season about 200 school-aged kids, 5-17, die from the flu. Normal flu seasons last about six months.

In the roughly 20 months since Covid started, there have been less than 140 Covid deaths in that same age range.

So the flu usually kills about 33 kids per month in a normal season, Covid about 7. The flu is about five times as dangerous as the Covid and we have never required any preventative measures to stop it.
