Here is a dirty little secret that no one gets as well: The governmental fees, rules and regulations to dock, unload and move containers is mind boggling. Getting shipments out of Long Beach is a nightmare, due to ever increasing environmental regulations alone on when, how and what kind of tractors can pull into and out of the port authority. We calculated that Long Beach incurred an additional cost of $450+ per container due to compliance.

I guarantee some of those ships are sitting waiting for bureaucrats to do something to even allow them into port.

That is but one example of countless others.
