some issues (not the only issue by far) is DOT requirements on THC.

Truck driving, especially long haul, is not that great lifestyle and attracts folks with fewer prospects in life quite frankly. Many simply aren't that dependable to be on time, every day to facilitate the time management side of it to keep a perpetual motion machine like a logistics network going efficiently.

In addition, with many states having relaxed marijuana laws, many routinely disqualify due to having so much "medicine" in their systems.

It is a horrible labor situation and will only get worse I'm afraid.
