jurisdiction and saw a car pull out of a nice neighborhood. It was obvious the car didn't fit in--it just looked like a scumbag belonged with it.

Just to log the plate, I called it in to dispatch. They soon called back and told me to phone them.

Turned out it was an undercover car for a guy working a drug case. Now if it had been in my city, I would have found a legal reason to stop it and run the driver. I had been content just to note the plate.

As it turned out I knew the car looked familiar as it had been used during police academy training to be driven by "bad guys" for training cadets. I had helped out with situational training during a few academy classes, so I'd seen that car before.
