if you’re drafted by the lakers and paid $5,000,000 per year?

Just like those who get drafted into the military:

You have to wear a uniform.
They feed you, as you pointed out.
They do pay a living wage to hide the fact that it’s slavery, duh.
You have to travel to destinations that are not your decisions.

I guess rather than play for the Lakers, you could be a conscientious objector and work on the loading dock at JCPenney with the other illiterates but you’d have your freedom.

Getting drafted is just like slavery.
