That is indicative of the modern era of MU basketball, and a more accurate benchmark to assess success against at MU. That is what you can compare Cuonzo's 55% against.

Over the same timeframe MU won 58.7% of its conference games, as opposed to Cuonzo's current 42.8% conference win rate.

Hopefully that clarification is helpful towards understanding your disconnect.
