Unbelievably, it has become very dangerous to attempt to approach the Kabul airport. If they get past the Taliban checkpoints, they face crowds of Afghans competing to enter the airport perimeter. U.S. soldiers have been forbidden to venture out past that perimeter to protect approaching Americans. Sounds like they have to run a gauntlet to reach our troops.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
