That's the game of chicken being played right now.

That game can't extend beyond the end of this season.

If the LB8 can hold it together, likely the payouts get negotiated this season.

I'm sure the money is already ready, possibly with a special distribution deal to assist from the SEC.

But that has to be kept under wraps while there is still a chance of LB8 collapse.
