robbing people, which is terrorizing them, and compounding that horrific conduct by causing another inherently not safe series of events by eluding police by using excessive speed, and placing more people in danger of imminent harm.
Your argument appears to suggest no harm will come to the community if you end the pursuit. That would involve believing the fantasy that the alleged perpetrator wouldn't rob anyone else, nor steal anyone else's car; nor commit any other crimes with victims.
I'm going to make a wild suggestion that the alleged perpetrator might just rob another person, or steal another vehicle, or both, or more.
