Try reading "Who'll Tell the People - The Betrayal of American Democracy, by William Grieder. He writes of coming up in the journalism trade I think in WI where the print press journalists all hung out at blue collar pubs and now the money in journalism creates a chasm there, where there wasn't one before. It is a terrifyingly sad read. Greider deals also with the issue of lobbyists. There are a hundred lobbyist for every Congress person. They run the town and write the bills and America suffers as a result.

Unless of course you think that the top 1/10th of 1 percent flourishing while the majority suffer pay check to pay check is a good thing. And now we learn that Bezo's tax rate was 0.9%. I guess you think that is good too.
