after moving out of Canfield. Shortly after she left Canfield, it went Section 8 and we know how that played out.
Talked to her 2 nights ago. Violence is moving closer to her area. The previous night she heard 4 gunshots somewhere close to or in the complex.
She had bought the condo below hers as a rental property several years ago. Had a good tenant who was older and lived in it for 8 years or so. He met a woman and they married and he moved into her house.
So she rented it. Went through a property management company because they undertook showing the unit, getting deposits, background checks, etc. Rented to a woman supposedly getting transferred for federal job. My mom never met her. Instead the woman's gay brother moved in and was probably dealing drugs out of the unit. My mom had to go to City Hall to have his name added to the lease for an additional expense. Meanwhile she never got any rent other than the first month. Took her 6 months to get "them" evicted. When she finally had my brother inspect the apartment, the ass hole had busted the toilet and water was flooding the unit.
She ended up with a lot of repairs and sold the unit for less than she had in it.
