Ojbectively and subjectively it was ballsy, put numerous troops in harm's way, risked revelation of military technology, was not (and this type of **** never is) a 100% for sure situation.

The Pakistanis did in fact scramble jets and just missed intercepting our helos. And we in fact did lose a helo which was a close call.

And that town was indeed the West Point of Pakistan and there was a reason bin Laden was there. He was in bed, it is widely believed, with senior Pakistani military leadership (at the very least). More balls needed.
