1. Coaches have worked their way up and earned the right for more choices. The number one problem with society today is that nobody wants to work their way up and they want everything handed to them right out of the gate. This is just the microcosm of it as it pertains to college sports.
2. College basketball and the NBA are suffering due to the current state of college basketball and the way the NBA utilizes it. Both levels would improve greatly if they would work together and develop a system for college basketball develops the players for a few years in the NBA text them when they are more ready to contribute.
That being said, transfers absolutely need to be allowed to happen, but there need to be guidelines.
1. You transfer you sit a year....unless.....
A. Your coach is fired or takes a new job...
2. If 1A happens, you can transfer and be immediately eligible ——IF — — you meet with the new coach before you sign with a new school. You can enter the portal and start to look around, but you cannot sign until your school hires a new coach and you meet him.
3. There is no one time limit for this immediate eligibility, you can do this for as many times as you endure a coaching change in your college career.
