they work along side prosecutors, DAs, judges, etc as part of their job. They are employed by the same group.

Yes, they are in a more dangerous situation than common citizens, but they are also very much trained in that position, so have many more tools to deal with various situations than a common person.

My issue also comes down with how they are trained. They are trained how to kill, and exactly when it is "justified", so they know what to do and what to say to get away with it.

I understand you have to train them in self defense and situations like that...but there are far too many videos now that show cops escalating situations, and not de-escalating situations.
