But why was she eligible to play here immediately, even though she transferred from another SEC school. Was she granted a waiver, and if so, on what grounds? Or was there a 1 time Covid related waiver that allowed in conference softball transfers to become immediately eligible?
Not glad she’s injured of course, but either way this worked out well for her and the team. She wasn’t going to play ahead of Moore, of course. What other position can Deters play? And Moore could still come back next year if she wants to, and I hope for the sake of the team she does.
