Straight from a college coaches mouth that I talked to. If you aren't a top 200 kid, you're better off going to a prep school. Otherwise you'll likely drop to D2 or NAIA. There just aren't going to be as many opportunities for high school kids.
Exactly what you said, odds say the HS kids will transfer anyway, so you may as well take kids after the 1st transfer
