Mark 2:7, Jesus can for give sins to Exodus 34:6-7, Isaiah 43:25 which is what God does.
Mark 4:35-41, the wind and sea obey Jesus to Psalms 107:23-32.
Mark 6:34, Jesus is the shepherd of Israel to Ezekiel 34:11-15.
Once we get to Mark 10:17-18 after seeing repeated hints tying Jesus to the God of Israel, the verses take on new meaning.
Mark 10:17–18 (NRSV): 17 As he was setting out on a journey, a man ran up and knelt before him, and asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 18 Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone.
Compare Mark 4:22 to Matthew 10:26 and Luke 8:17. Mark highlights the intentionality of hiding whereas Matthew and Luke focus on present concealment leading to future revelation. To Mark those who ears to hear will hear.
Mark's abrupt ending at 16:8 wants the reader to think about what happened, highlighting the shock and fear the women felt when Jesus' tomb was found empty and what this empty tomb meant.
Again, pop historians like Bart Ehrman are not Old Testament scholars and are not looking at all the uses of the Old Testament text found in the Gospel accounts.
