that is a given. It is the struggle to live better lives that makes us successful Christians, not just making up for the mistakes.

If I am a bad person who spends my life doing bad things Christianity teaches me that I can still become a Christian if I repent my prior misdeeds and make an effort to live the rest of my life by Christian principles.

Being a good Christian requires that you always strive to be a better person.
