Here is my definition of Christianity.
You can make mistakes and be a Christian, even horrific ones. A lapse of judgment does not make you a bad Christian. The whole idea behind Christianity is that people sin and can be forgiven those sins. But to be forgiven those sins and be a good Christian requires that you feel remorse for those sins, make the effort to not repeat them, and atone, as much as possible, for those sins.
If you bang your secretary after the Christmas party you can realize you made a mistake, make sure it never happens again and attempt to atone for your behavior. It is unChristianlike behavior but does not make you a bad Christian. If you bang your secretary every Friday for three years then I would suggest that you are a bad Christian. YOu are obviously not making an effort to correct your behavior.
