Federals stayed out of Missouri. If the federal gov't. wanted to take their three regiments of St. Louis Germans out of the State and deploy them elsewhere, I have no problem with that. However, the St. Louis arsenal should have been delivered to the Missouri State Guard and not secreted off to Illinois.
