that literally demanded he(and his assistants)appear at the Sports Page lounge(Holiday Inn where the Tiger team spent Friday nights prior to games) were happy to buy the drinks all night during the good times, but the first to turn on him when the losses started. Not saying that Warren shouldn't be held responsible, but no one seemed to be interested in getting him help. Ironically, after being fired he sought treatment and alcohol became a demon of the past. In short, it was a drinking problem that was ignored by all and then used as a way out.
