Sorry, posted this and then didn't get back til 730pm.
For an upper tier program, this isn't so much a problem because either they are making enough money and have the school commitment to retain coaches til they get great opportunities and they have the recruiting to continue the level they're playing at (unless they really **** it up). While I'm very happy with this last season given what Mizzou was dealing with, one season doesn't set the future course (though I have a great deal of confidence in Coach Drinkwitz). Kids come in for the coaches that recruited them. Until we establish the program as being back, it's not the school's success they are coming here for. It's the coaches.
This was a great discussion and it is exactly the response I was hoping everyone would contribute towards.
