OC and DC are pretty stable positions, each being around for multiple years. there will be some turnover of position coaches and analysts underneath them, but ideally they're able to groom good replacements from within the staff and when their time comes to leave for bigger and better things, their successor is obvious. this process repeats every 5 or 6 years.
