I’ll agree 100% with your statement of stigma now. It’s not the same. I can’t say I like the fact that it’s not the same as I think the acceptance of opt outs (and refusal to call it quitting, which is what it is) and transfers as commonplace is ultimately going to ruin college sports BUT, just because a kid transfers doesn’t mean what it maybe meant a decade ago. The kid is often just trying to find the right fit which is most cases seems to be the place that will let him play ASAP.
