Because the other option is always the same from the left, they take the extreme edge case limits on speech and work aggressively to move those edges until they cover normal political discourse.

This is why we must allow free speech to include speech we hate to hear, otherwise we end up with no free speech at all, and the dogma of the left as the only acceptable communications...
