not require a crime to occur as it is a political process. I just used crime in my example since that is a fairly easy standard to which most people would agree would warrant an impeachment.

The US House could impeach someone for taking apart an oreo and licking the center if they wanted to and it would be perfectly constitutional. Not what it is intended for of course but the framers left that part intentionally vague on purpose.
