The guy was spot-on when it came to a lot of issues, but he ruined it by alienating too many people. Yes, I know, some of those people (like Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, et al) are worthless pieces of garbage, but you can't pi$$ off half the country and expect to be loved, much less re-elected. Had he been seen as even a little bit diplomatic and mature, he probably WOULD have won in a landslide. As it is, he was his own worst enemy, especially in a country that values political correctness over straight talk and results.
I used to support Trump, but it's time to move on or the Republican Party will die a quick and painful death. Eric Trump was wrong when he proclaimed "this is Donald Trump's party." Nobody is bigger than the party and when people start to think that way, it's time for a change. Now, the Republican Party has to find a new standard bearer who can unite the party along with the country as a whole.
