Former Utah Jazz assistant coach Igor Kokoskov is leaving the NBA to become the head coach of Fenerbahce in Turkey.
Kokoskov was an assistant coach under Luke Walton with the Sacramento Kings before making the move to Istanbul, Turkey. He has been coaching basketball since 1992 where he spent the first five years overseas before making the jump to the United States to be an assistant coach for Missouri under Quin Snyder.
It’s Kokoskov’s third head coaching job after serving as the head coach for OKK Beograd from 1995-96 and the Phoenix Suns for the 2018-19 season.
