attempting to field a serious program. MU was 0-0 from 2014-2017 and stats from that era don't count, otherwise they skew any kind of reasonable observations or metrics you are trying to compile. MU didn't have a D1 program the 3 years before Cuonzo.
It was the most challenging rebuild in college bb history. But anyone we hired would have been able to surpass .500 overall, that isn't much of a benchmark accomplishment.
