A calculus proof requires both a "necessary" and a "sufficient" condition.

For Mizzou football, recruiting well in Missouri is the "necessary" condition and recruiting well in Florida, Georgia and Texas is the "sufficient" condition.

In other words, Mizzou can sign all the top kids in Missouri every year and never be better than third in the SEC East.
