Postmodernism isn't the approach here, friend. Instead, the mandate is to account for as many intersecting identities in the data as a confounding variable--to acknowledge that these intersecting identities might influence the result and to account for that.

I can assure you, the NSF grant I have going in tomorrow deals with differential effects on sexes (not gender because the species is rat), and will pass muster with regard to this type of accounting.
