We were still "Mizzou" in 08 and in 10 the conference was in discord and we'd only had success for 10 years. Plus, Pinkel looked for diamonds in the rough. We did get DBG in '12. In '15 we learned he'd been fighting cancer and had his marriage dissolve. So unfortunate but is what it is. But he set the groundwork for Mizzou getting Drinkwitz. Mizzou has a national identity, we'd won our division 4 times, we'd been successful. And we want to be successful.
I love Gary Pinkel. He is our Moses if you want to get biblical. I'd like for Drinkwitz to get our people to the chosen land if only so that GP can see it in his lifetime.
