The ultimate goal may well be to overturn the election. But there is much that Trump and his team may wish to see happen that falls short of that goal.
I.e. to have history forever debate did "Biden steal the presidency", to make it more difficult for Biden to implement the progressive policies that he has endorsed, the personal satisfaction of seeing a Biden Presidency fail, etc.
I suspect that enough has transpired thus far for there to be an ongoing debate "did Biden and the Democrats" steal the election. Historians may well be debating that for a long, long time.
And most folks get some personal satisfaction when they see someone whom they believe has wrong them fail. It's called revenge.
