it won’t be because of lack of money.
It will be because of COVID and public health risks. We are heading headlong into a catastrophe in the winter months, which will effect softball starting the first week of February, IMO.
The wild card is of course an effective vaccine(s). Not the vaccines themselves, but the ability to store it, distribute it, and have a ton of people actually use it. And all those critical factors are up in the air and TBD.
I really hope softball has something close to a normal season in 2021, and am acting like it will as I comment on Mizzou softball issues. But I wouldn’t put a lot of money on it at this point.
