Containment is a viable strategy

We've had some success with containment for ebola, SARS, MERS, and others. Basically any virus that spreads thru contact can be contained by eliminating future contact.

The problem is containment is only possible if done early if the virus spreads very easily. With coronavirus, the WHO and China decided early on not to undertake that strategy. Once it got out of Wuhan, containment was no longer a viable strategy.
