I enjoy history. I've studied it enough to know that this country is the biggest social experiment in the history of the planet, and to think that all people are on even footing at this point is a fairy tale.

This path was laid out 400 years ago when rich dudes decided they needed to be even richer and brought over slave labor. Fast forward a couple hundred years, your own great grandfather lived during a time when black folk were still property. That's not that long ago, at all.

Do you think we are where we need to be in terms of race relations?
