and enforce the deal when Iran could now say well the deal is off (or is it on?). The move by Trump sent the deal in chaos, which only benefits the Iranians.
Trump's not the first President to assume office and not like certain things he inherited. Ask Obama. Doesn't mean in the case of a treaty type deal you just back out.
The entire deal was made out of the belief that Iran was going to have a nuclear weapon soon without a deal. May as well delay that and see if you can get their economy to modernize to the point where the people would throw out the dated and dictatorial fundamentalists.
It was also made knowing that Iran is not a country that is suitable for invasion even if the US had the stomach for another Iraq style war which it certainly did not then and does not (which by the way is a good thing).
Now they're back on track for a nuke and the economic chaos only strengthens the fundamentalist government's hand.
All the conservatives I've ever seen talk about this deal ignores the inevitability of nuclear attainment by the Iranians regardless unless the US is willing to engage militarily. That's why no one on the right has ever thought the deal was good...they viewed it as a choice which it wasn't. If you see this fundamental difference you'll see the deal for what is really has always been...the best deal that could be made under the circumstances.
Trump's given us the worst of best worlds. Under no reasonable thought can that be seen as better than anything.
