I can agree with most of that. What do the studies say

say about all the school busing over the years. Did the kids that went to county schools really benefit and in more ways than just school?
It is likely hard to determine as if a parent or child cared enough to ride a bus 45 extra minutes each way then the likely cared more about putting in the work in school and likely would have been successful anyway though they may have needed some extra help with coursework if the city schools were subpar.
Either way I agree that the answer is fathers ... and for fathers or father figures to be visible and showing kids what their potential can be. Without it all the other good intentions fall apart
