The right coach is so important

Changing coaches is a crapshoot, you never know what you're gonna get. We were lucky and had two good ones in a row with Larry Smith and Gary Pinkel. Larry kinda gets a bad rap around here for the way it ended with him (and I still choose to believe his illness really got the better of him), but he really righted the ship and got this thing headed the right direction. And again, Gary Pinkel was the right guy at the right time to build on what Larry Smith had done. Odom was clearly not the right guy at the right time, but I do think he was a good coach, just not ready to be a head coach yet. But I really, really like what I'm seeing so far from Coach Drink. If he can coach the guys on Saturdays, he might be a good one.

But I don't know, I'm just a fan. When you guys hired Coach O, I thought you were making a big mistake. Shows what I know. As I've gotten older, I've learned to just try to enjoy the good times when they are there and try not to get too down when they aren't.
