Mizzou VB had a huge tournament scheduled for Sept 11-12 at Northern Iowa that also included Minnesota and Utah, powerhouse programs from the B1G and PAC 12, respectively.

Now that’s not happening, of course, with those two conferences already announcing they will play no non conference games this fall. With more and more conferences announcing they will either delay the start of the season until sometime in September, or not play any non conference games at all, or not play any fall sports at all, it is going to be very difficult for Mizzou VB to find teams to play in non conference, should the SEC buck the trend and decide to play full fall sports schedules, including non conference games.

At this point the chances are slim and none that Mizzou VB will have any non conference games. Which is going to harm their ability to get a top 16 seed and home regional for this talented, senior driven team. There just aren’t enough opportunities in the SEC alone, outside of Florida and Kentucky, to get signature wins.

And that’s assuming there will be an NCAA tournament in December that resembles tournaments past. Which isn’t a given at all now.
