Also, the data sourced for those charts comes from COVID Tracking Project. That is a dashboard data service which scrapes data from state and local dashboards too. What happens is that the reported date of a COVID death does not always match up with the actual date of death. States and local governments have conducted data dumps where they will report hundreds of new deaths on one day, but deep in the information will note that those deaths occurred as early as April.

So, no deaths are not trending up. They have been trending down and will continue to do so.
