all these new cases. The increase in new cases is the result of significantly more testing.

The fact that the increased amount of cases is leading to significantly less deaths is likely due to a much younger mean age of infections and the virus mutating into weaker less lethal forms.

If the US were to experience a big spike in deaths now, it would make the US an absolute international outlier. I know the Orange Man is bad, but he can't make this virus something that it is not.
