The shoe companies and others will wait and see. While a few players can change a team, it doesn’t change an entire league....a good team playing a bunch of scrubs on TV is boring. The big money players won’t invest heavily on the outset (maybe a token effort), and they will see if this is transformative or a fleeting trend. My guess is that it’ll be short lived and not as profitable for the big money (if it does get traction)...I’d wager that this is a non-event after a few years.
