cops and resist arrest. Brooks chose to take a weapon from the cops and run. Brooks chose to turn, aim and fire the taser at the pursuing cops. If Brooks chose not to do any one of those things, he would be alive today. Shooting Brooks may seem extreme, but what if he tasered one of the cops, rendered him defenseless and got his sidearm? What then? Should the other officer wait for Brooks to arm himself better and then decide whether or not to shoot him to stop him?
