He will need a majority of them again if he is going to win in 2020. While his base remains strong that is not the case with moderates. My wife is very active in the RNC and they are seeing a significant drop off in the number of volunteer workers. Some who continue are openly opposed to Trump and have said they will work in support of local candidates not tied to him.
